커리큘럼
여름방학
기본적으로 경제의 개념과 그래프, definition, evaluation 등에 대한 이해와 그 개념을 현실에 예시들과 연결시켜 경제라는 과목에 자신감을 가질수 있게 하는 기간입니다.
DP1
DP1 때는 이번에 기존과 다른 새로운 syllabus을 배우게 됩니다. 급하지 않게 ib economics 란 무엇을 배우는 과목인지를 배우게 돼는 introduction of economics로 시작해서 가장 베이스가 되는 microeconomics를 선행하게 됩니다. 단순히 외우는게 아닌 충분한 이해를 통해서 추후 학교에서의 퀴즈/과제 등에서 도움과 좋은 결과를 나올수 있게 준비해가는 단계입니다.
DP2
DP2 때 1 주차에서는 Theory of the firm 이라는 내용을 다루게 됩니다. 학교마다 수업 진행도가 다르게 때문에 어떤 학교는 DP1 때 배우는 경우도 있고 DP2 때 배우는 학교도 있습니다. 하지만 듣지 못한 학생들 또는 내용이 헷갈려서 복습하고 싶은 학생들을 위해서 1주차에 Theory of the firm 을 넣었습니다. 만약에 Theory of the firm 을 학교에서 진행했고 자신이 있는 학생들은 2주차 수업부터 조인해도 무관합니다. 추후에는 이콘에서 그전에 배운 내용과 조금 다른 internationals economics 를 배우고 조금 새로운 내용인만큼 충분한 이해를 하고 paper 2 를 준비하는 과정입니다.
겨울방학
3주라는 짧은 시간에도 불구하고 시간을 최대한 효율적이게 사용하여 부족했던 부분들은 채우게 되고 새로운 내용들을 알짜배기로 충분히 이해하는 시간입니다.
DP1때는 이콘에서 가장 메인이 되는 macroeconomics 의 개념정리를 통해 충분한 이해와 past paper 밑 퀴즈들을 통해 개념을 충분히 다지고 추후에 있을 학교 시험에 대비할것입니다.
DP2 학생들은 Development economics 개념정리와 전체적인 내용 복습을 통해 실제 IB final 에서 만족스러운 결과를 습득할수 있도록 준비하는 단계입니다.
IA
DP1
DP1은 syllabus 가 바뀌게 되면서 IA 의 규정도 조금 바뀌게 되었습니다. 기존 글자수 750 자에서 800자로 바뀌었니다. 또한 기존에는 1. Microeconomics 2. Macroeconomics 3. International economics 4.Development economics 라는 4가지 주제중 3 IA 를 쓰는 방식이였지만 이제는 2. Microeconomics 3. Macroeconomics 4. The global economy 의 3가지 주제로 쓰게 됩니다. 1. Introduction of economics 는 IA 주제로 포함되지 않습니다. 750자라는 글자수의 제한이 쓸 수 있는 다양한 내용을 많이 제한한다는 기존 학생들의 불만을 감안해서 800자라는 글자수의 제한으로 늘어난 것으로 추측 됩니다. 또한 기존의 여러 학교들이 4가지 주제(교과과정)중 선택권을 주기 보다는 1,2,3 번째에서 항상 작성하게끔 햇기 때문에 International 과 Development 를 합친 모습을 보이는것 같습니다. SL 학생들 같은경우에는 HL 과 다르게 IA 가 20% 가 아닌 30% 라는 더 무거운 비중을 차지하면서 어떻게 좋은 IA 를 쓸 수 있는지 확실히 배워가는게 중요합니다.
DP2
기존의 규정과 같이 IA 가 진행되며 750내로 작성을 요구합니다. DP 2 때는 Macroeconomics 와 International economics 를 사용하여 2 개의 IA 를 작성하게 됩니다. SL 과 HL 둘다 20% 의 비중을 차지하지만 좋은 기사를 고르고 완벽한 IA 를 작성하는 방법을 굳히고 강화하는게 중요합니다.
숙제/모의시험
DP 1
아직 경제의 베이스와 기초적인 논리를 사용함으로 에세이 문제보다는 Google form 을 사용한 객관식 및 단답형 문제들로 수업때 배운 내용들을 복습하고 어려운 부분을 스스로 찾아가고 질문할수 있게끔 합니다. 예상 소요시간은 평균 15~30분정도입니다.
DP 2
경제에 대해서 배운 이론의 양이 DP1 에 비해서 많고 학교에서 보는 시험과 실제 Final exam 을 대비하기 위해서 에세이 문제를 숙제로 해오게 됩니다. 에세이를 작성하는 능력을 강화하고 부족한 이론 및 에세이 작성에서의 어려운 점을 첨삭및 피드백 받게 됩니다. 예상 소요시간은 30~60분 정도입니다.
숙제는 당일 배운 내용에 대해 연습할 수 있는 30~60분 분량의 문제풀이 (숙제시간이 충분하지 않을 수 있는 학생들을 고려하여)
경제 특성 상, 모두 에세이 문제로 이뤄진 만큼, 올바른 구조의 에세이 작성이 필요합니다.
에세이에 빈도 높은 첨삭을 진행하기 위해, 주중에 내줄 에세이 문제는 학생이 detailed outline 형식으로 작성해오면, outline 구조를 첨삭하는 방식으로 진행됩니다.
