I'm currently in my third year of medicine at imperial college, and have been tutoring A-level chemistry, biology and maths for the last two years, and was also a chemistry mentor for other A-level students during my two years in sixth form. I am extremely passionate about these subjects, and believe that whilst initially some topics may be challenging, if the student can understand and have faith in the underlying principles behind each topic area, there shouldn't be a problem in their exams which they can't ace. I also therefore believe that the best way to test knowledge is to constantly be challenging oneself as opposed to just repeating exercises which often won't be engaging the student's brain. In relation to my personal academic record, I achieved 10A*s and 1A at GCSE, and took 5 A-levels to A2 level (AQA) in which I averaged 94% in my AS exams, and completed them all to an A grade to meet my offer of AAA, I also took on an EPQ in which I got an A, and I have had no retakes during my time at university averaging 70% in my first year exams and 65% in my second year exams. In my spare time I play 5-a-side football and badminton at imperial. I will be extremely dedicated to my tutee and will join their side in tackling their upcoming A-level exams and help them to achieve their goals.

My last tutee was from my old school, and required help for both AS and A2 chemistry (edexcel) exams. He mainly needed help with organic chemistry, we met up once a week for two hours and he achieved an A-grade overall which was what he was predicted and needed for university. I've also helped students prepare for med school interviews and BMAT entrance exams.
