민 승욱

I grew up in New York for most of my life. I went to Seoul Foreign School (SFS), International School of Brussels (ISB) and Taejon Christian International School (TCIS) for high school. I am currently a senior at Carnegie Mellon University (#1 Computer science in the world) majoring in Machine Learning and Chemistry. I lived in various places like New York, California, Belgium, Seoul, Daejeon so I have lots of experience as a foreigner, which I can of course help the students with. In high school, I took HL in Chemistry (7), Physics(7), and Math (7) and SL in English Language and Literature (6), Spanish (6), and Business (7). Studying computer science and chemistry in college, I have a strong foundation in both subjects. I also worked as a TA for Introduction to Computer Science and Introduction to Machine Learning for 3 years, where I taught over 300 students per semester. I also have extensive experience in 1 on 1 tutoring from high school. Teaching is my passion, which is why my dream is to be a professor. I am planning on going to PhD in computational chemistry in schools such as Stanford University and UCLA. In addition to IB and AP chemistry and computer science, I have a strong experience in teaching programming languages such as python and C.
